Thanksgiving Favourites

Are you looking for something that you can actually eat at the Thanksgiving table this weekend and still feel good afterwards?! If you are gluten-free or dairy-free you know the struggle that can come with an invitation to dinner. But it doesn’t have to be a struggle. When I head home for the holidays I try to bring a dish that is gluten and dairy-free, so that I can enjoy it plus share with my family some new healthy recipes that I’ve discovered. Whether you are hosting Thanksgiving and would like some allergy-free options for yourself or your guests or are heading out to a potluck and want to make sure there is something you can eat, check out the recipes below.

Here are 4 of my favourite Thanksgiving style dishes:

Pecan Pie Square

Who doesn’t want something sweet and festive to go along with an afternoon (or after dinner) coffee!? Plus these are dairy-free, gluten-free and are sweetened, NOT with sugar, but with dates. AND there is only 4 ingredients in the whole recipe!!

Roasted Butternut Squash Harvest Bowl

This is pretty much FALL in a bowl! AMIRIGHT? It’s full of seasonal produce and with all that colour it’s a piece of art…maybe not, but it’s pretty!

Turkey Rolls with Cranberry Sauce

If you don’t feel like getting up at 6am to get the turkey in the oven – OR try to remember to bring it out to thaw like 5 days before – then this turkey dish is perfect for you! This one uses goat cheese, which I find most people do better with than dairy from cows.

Pumpkin Pie Tarts with Coconut Whipped Cream

If you are missing pumpkin pie since going gluten and dairy free then you will love these cute little pumpkin pie tarts! And the coconut whipped cream is sooo good! Make some extra to top on your Mama Recharged Pumpkin Spice Latte or Mocha!
